This afternoon the Internet has combined two of your favorite things: Jake Gyllenhaal and Cher from “Clueless.” Specifically, for the newest installment of W Magazine’s video series, “Casting Call,” heartthrobs like Gyllenhall and Bradley Cooper take on the immortal character of Cher Horowitz, originally played by Alicia Silverstone in the 1995 romantic comedy.
Oh, and after reading the script for the first time, Gyllenhaal admitted he’s basically a real-life Cher anyway: “I realize that I talk like this, which is a bummer,” he said.
The actor, alongside funny man Seth Rogen and Paul Dano, re-creates Cher’s hilarious debating scene, and it’s completely brilliant. Sure, Gyllenhaal and Cooper definitely lack Cher’s passion, but we’re still rooting for a remake.
